TROUBLESHOOTING
The ignition system fails to operate (no spark or intermittent spark).
TIP
• Before troubleshooting, remove the following part(s):
1. Seat
2. Fuel tank top panel
3. Fuel tank
4. Front panel
5. Front fender
1. Check the fuses.
(Main and ignition)

Replace the fuse(s).

• Clean the battery terminals.
• Recharge or replace the battery.

Re-gap, clean, or replace the spark plug.

Ignition system is OK.

The crankshaft position sensor is faulty.
Replace the crankshaft position sen-
sor/stator assembly.
