PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE PROCEEDING
Don't swing your recorder in sudden motion!
The recorder parts come apart easily at the joints as they are lubricated to facilitate assembly and tuning adjustments. Parts can fly out, possibly hitting someone nearby. Never swing your recorder in any situation.
Put small amount of Yamaha Recorder Cream on the joint seals to keep them from becoming stiff, but never put oil or cream on the key mechanism.
* When used up, buy another Yamaha Recorder Cream at your local music store.
Before starting to play your recorder, hold the head joint 1 in your palms for a while to warm it to body temperature. This prevents moisture to condense when start blowing into a cold recorder.
If moisture condenses inside your recorder, clear it away by blowing forcefully through the mouthpiece while covering the window firmly with a finger so that no air escapes through the window.
Always keep your recorder dry by wiping with gauze or a soft cotton cloth after use. To wipe the inside, use the cleaning rod that comes with your recorder, with gauze wrapped around on it.
