Chapter Creating Web Pages for Video Distribution This chapter describes how to use the VB-C60 to webcast information. Image data can be distributed in various ways, including displaying video or still images and displaying multiple images on a Web page.
If you select a link requesting video in step 1, a file that includes the IP address information for the VB-C60 is sent from the Web server in step 2. If you are using the VB Viewer, the video is distributed to the viewer PC from the VB-C60 in response to the request in step 3.
Page 129
Web Pages for Video Distribution VB-C60 is equipped with a built-in Web server. If the content of the Web pages used for distributing video is stored onto the built-in flash memory in VB-C60, the VB-C60 Note can be used both for distributing Web pages and video over the Web. Please refer to P.4-6 for procedures on how to save Web page data.
View Sample Pages Ready-made video distribution sample pages are provided with VB-C60. Follow the procedure below to view these pages. Refer to these pages when creating your own Web pages. How To View the Pages 1. Launch your Web browser and enter the following URL: http://192.168.100.1/sample/...
</iframe> * The underlined portion is a sample IP address. Enter the actual IP address set for the VB-C60 (→ P.1-8). You can also specify the URL without the IP address as shown below when you save the Web page in the flash memory in VB-C60.
Distribute Video using VB Viewer Save Web Page Data VB-C60 is equipped with a Flash memory where Web page data can be saved. Data is saved by transferring the data files using FTP. The data is placed as a file under /usr/www/html/local.
Page 133
</body> </html> * The underlined portion is a sample IP address. Enter the actual IP address set for the VB-C60 (→ P.1-8). You can also specify the URL without the IP address as shown below when you save the Web page in the flash memory in the VB-C60.
Japanese version: src=“http://IP address/viewer/live/ja/live.html” English version: src=“http://IP address/viewer/live/en/live.html” You can also specify the URL without the IP address as shown below for the Web page saved in the flash memory in the VB-C60. Japanese version: src=“/viewer/live/ja/live.html” English version: src=“/viewer/live/en/live.html” *When you wish to hide the scroll bar, also specify the following parameter.
For a more detailed example, refer to the sample page. <IMG SRC=http://192.168.100.1/-wvhttp-01-/GetOneShot> * The underlined portion is a sample IP address. Enter the actual IP address set for the VB-C60 (→ P.1-8).
Example of Video Distribution using One Global Address One fixed global address is required if VB-C60 is being used to distribute live videos on the Internet. An Internet service provider (ISP) that offers a single-address fixed global address service can be used. In this case, a router with the NAT function is required.
HTML, which uses the command image.cgi. Sample pages for still image distribution for mobile phones have been provided for the VB-C60. See below for how to view them. 1. Start up your browser and enter the following URL http://192.168.100.1/m/...
For example, to change the control position [1], overwrite the underlined value in “pos1.html”. See the table below for details of the parameters of the image.cgi command. Before overwriting the sample files in the flash memory in VB-C60, be sure to create a backup of them.
