AdAP - Start Adaption
Automatic matching (adaptation) of controller parameters to the process, prefera-
Function
bly during the startup procedure.
•
Require-
Enable adaptation through configuring switch S49:
ments
if S49=1 normal, control response,
if S49=2 damped, control sesponse;
•
Set target setpoint:
Note: starting the adaption the actual value x and the target setpoint w must be
more than 20 % apart;
•
The controller must not be in tracking or safety mode.
Working
During adaptation, the controller produces 100% and 0% several times at the out-
method
put (y). This causes an oscillation of the process variable x within the band "target
setpoint/initial actual value". The controller parameters are determined from the
shape of the curve (oscillation duration and amplitude).
Adaptation can take place in automatic mode (closed loop) or manual mode (open
loop).
It is best to start and end adaptation in automatic mode. After completing the
Recommen-
dation
adaptation: the controller then continues to operate in automatic mode according
to the determined parameters.
+
NOTE
•
If adaptation is started and ended in manual mode, then after adaptation the
controller outputs a manipulated variable y that causes as small a control differ-
ence as possible;
•
The Online parameters YA, YE have no effect on the adaptation process.
