Cooling Enough free space shall be left above and below the frequency converter to ensure sufficient air circulation and cooling. You will find the required dimensions for free space in the table below. If several units are mounted above each other, the required free space equals C + D (see figure below).
Power losses If the operator wants to raise the switching frequency of the drive for some reason (typically e.g. in order to reduce the motor noise), this inevitably affects the power losses and cooling requirements, for different motor shaft power, operator can select the switching frequency according to the graphs below.
