Removing the water pump and shift
rod
1. Remove the water pump housing 1 and
impeller 2.
2. Remove the woodruff key 3.
3. Remove the outer plate cartridge 4,
gasket 5 and dowels 6.
4. Set the gear shift to the neutral position
at the lower unit. Make sure that the shift
rod is in the neutral position using a spe-
cial service tool.
