    Directives 89/336/EEC and 73/23/EEC as amended by 93/ 68/EEC. Should the supply cord be damaged, it must be replaced by a service center approved by Sharp as special tool are required. Do not operate the unit in a closet or in a narrow space between furniture.
  • Page 3 DW-71-H Note Make sure that the unit is operated on a flat and solid surface. Uneven surface can cause spilling of the stored water and wet other household furnitures or appliances and cause electric shock, electrical leakage or fire. During continuous drainage, make sure that the hose is not bent and the hose outlet is laid down properly.
  • Page 4 DW-71-H Note After making sure that the power supply plug is not covered with dust, insert the plug into the socket firmly. When there is dust or the connection is improper, electric shock or fire might be resulted. Attention Important Do not obstruct the air outlets and air intake.

    DW-71-H PRINCIPLE OF DEHUMIDIFING FUNCTION (Wet air) Eevaporator : The evaporator the vapor contained in the indoor air and condensate it to trap. Condenser: The condenser heats the air cooled by the cooler. Fan: The fan sucks in the wet air, and discharges the dry air sent from the condenser into the inddor space.

    1995 and to use the substance less adversely affecting the ozone layer in the world scale. Now, Sharp uses the chlorofluorocarbon replacing substance HFC-134a for refrigerator coolant. It is applied also for the new models of dehumidifier DW71-H.

    DW-71-H HFC-134a CYCLE REPAIR PROCEDURE Refrigerator cycle repair Additional valve As the service tools for the coolant gas CFC-12 (R-12) cannot be used for HFC-134a, the specific tools must be used. “FOR HFC-134a” must be indicated. Gauge manifold The connections of service tools are different.

  • Page 31 DW-71-H (7) Loosen the joint (a) to release gas. Check balance of high/low pressure. (8) Open the high pressure valve of gauge manifold to discharge gas so that the high pressure gauge pressure reduces down to 1.0 kgf/cm G. (When 1.0 kgf/cm G is reached, close the high pressure valve.)
