Before enjoying DVD/Video CD/CD
For your convenience, the On-Screen menu language
of your player has been factory pre-set to English.
If you would like to change the menu language to
French or Spanish, please refer to "Selecting language
of On-Screen Display menu" on page 70.
Basic play
Preparations
ÁSwitch the TV ON and select "Video" as the TV input.
ÁSwitch on the stereo system's power if the player has been
connected to a stereo system.

Press POWER to switch on the power.

Press OPEN/CLOSE to
open the disc tray.

Place a disc onto the disc tray.
Hold the disc without touching either of its surfaces, posi-
tion it with the printed title side facing up, align it with the
guides, and place it in its proper position.

Press PLAY.
The disc tray is automatically closed and play begins.
ÁWhen the disc tray is closed by pressing OPEN/CLOSE,
press PLAY to start play.
ÁWhen a menu screen appears on the TV monitor
In case of interactive DVDs or Video CDs with playback
control, a menu screen appears on the TV monitor. Perform
step 5 on page 30 to start play.
